Strep Throat

Strep throat is an infection caused by a bacteria (germ) called Group A Streptococcus. It is more common in children than adults.

Individual cases are not reportable to the Health Unit.

Exclude until 24 hours of antibiotic treatment is taken and if too ill to participate in regular activities.

Follow the direction of your healthcare provider or occupational health at your workplace.
