Mental Health and Well-being Dashboard
Need mental health support? Find local services.
This dashboard includes data on risk and protective factors for mental health and well-being at the individual, family, and community levels. It provides context for mental health beyond illness, focusing on how populations experience safety, support, and other conditions that affect well-being.
Based on our Mental Health Promotion Framework, this dashboard supports the goal of fostering awareness and shared action across sectors to improve mental health outcomes for the people in our communities.
What You'll Find
This dashboard includes 21 indicators based on three key principles – framed as “action areas” – that are shown to improve outcomes for children and families:
-
Support responsive relationships for children and adults.
-
Strengthen core skills for planning, adapting, and achieving goals.
-
Reduce sources of stress in the lives of children and families.
These 3 principles are drawn from work of the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University and are embedded throughout the Ontario Early Adversity and Resilience Framework - another key resource used by the Health Unit and its partners.
