People must submit an application form to us when planning to sell or serve food to the public at temporary or special events, farmer’s markets, new food premises and more. 

A few examples include:

• public barbecues
• community fundraisers, such as spaghetti dinners or pancake breakfasts
• food booths at fairs
• opening a new restaurant or food truck

To submit a notification, fill in the Notification for Community Events and Farmers Markets form. The application must be submitted to us at least 15 days prior to the event.
