The Healthy Babies Healthy Children program offers home visits by a Public Health Nurse and a Family Home Visitor to expectant mothers and new parents who need more support.

Home visits help you learn about:

  • Having a healthy pregnancy and birth
  • Connecting with your baby
  • How children grow and develop as well as what you can do to help
  • Being a parent
  • Breastfeeding, food and healthy nutrition
  • Taking care of yourself and your family
  • Other services available to you and your child in your community

The Ministry of Children and Youth Services has more information on the Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program.

For more information please call the Family Health Information Line 1-800-563-2808 ext. 5351 or email healthy.families@healthunit.ca.
