Student Placements

The Health Unit welcomes applications for unpaid student placements for academic credit. 

Placement opportunities are dependent on program requirements and capacity, therefore completion of an application does not guarantee a placement at the Health Unit. Please be advised that you will receive a response regarding your application status within 10 business days of submitting an application. 

A current affiliation agreement with your educational institution must be in place before a placement can occur.

Placement period and deadline for placement requests

  • Winter term (January to April, 2023)
    Deadline for placement request - November 11, 2022
  • Spring/summer term (May to August, 2023)
    Deadline for placement request - March 10, 2023
  • Fall term (September to December, 2023)
    Deadline for placement request - July 15, 2023
