We welcome applications for unpaid student placements for academic credit submitted directly by academic institutions. We do not accept applications from students individually.
Placement opportunities depend on program requirements and capacity; therefore, submitting a request does not guarantee a placement. You will receive a response regarding the status of the request within 20 business days of submission.
A current affiliation agreement with your educational institution must be in place before a placement can occur.
Placement periods and deadlines for placement requests
- Fall term (September to December) – Deadline for placement request: August 1
- Winter term (January to April) – Deadline for placement request: November 1
Please note: We do not offer student placements during the summer months (May, June, July, and August).
Please email your requests to student.placements@healthunit.ca for consideration. Please note, requests are to be completed by the academic institution on behalf of the student seeking placement for academic credit.
