News Release: Health Unit Monitoring COVID-19 Activity and is Ready to Change Levels if Needed

NORTH BAY, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) is monitoring and analyzing the indicators used within the Province’s five (5) level colour-coded COVID-19 Response Framework in order to be prepared to adjust to an increased response level if required. Public Service Announcement: COVID-19 Community Outbreak Update

NORTH BAY, ON – On November 24, the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) declared a COVID-19 community outbreak. As of November 27, the outbreak includes 16 individuals. The growth in the number of individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 is expected, as high-risk contacts are being tested. Close contact tracing is complete for every individual who tested positive. Individuals who have tested positive are self-isolating.

Public Service Announcement: Community Flu Clinic in Powassan

POWASSAN,ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) is hosting a community flu clinic with COVID-19 precautions on November 30 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 250 Clark St., in the Maple Room.

Individuals are encouraged to book an appointment by calling 1-800-563-2808 ext. 5377. Individuals are reminded to wear their face covering.

If you are unable to attend the clinic, flu shots are available at your local pharmacy or by your health care provider.
