News Release: North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit Declares Community Outbreak Over

North Bay, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) has declared the community COVID-19 outbreak, in connection with Nipissing University, over. All nineteen individuals associated with the outbreak are considered resolved. Although the community outbreak is over, this is not the time to be unconcerned; the Health Unit’s district is still seeing a number of individuals test positive for COVID-19, who are not associated with the community outbreak.

PARRY SOUND, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) is seeing an increase in the number of individuals testing positive for COVID-19 in the West Parry Sound area. On December 19, 2020, the Health Unit identified eight (8) new individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, seven (7) from the District of Parry Sound and one (1) from the Nipissing District. This is the single highest daily number of COVID-19 cases in the Health Unit’s district, since the start of the pandemic.

NORTH BAY, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit), through case and contact management, has identified a COVID-19 risk to the night stocking staff working at the North Bay Walmart location on the evenings of December 11, 12 and 13.
