News Release: Health Unit Reports Fifth COVID-19 Related Death in District

NORTH BAY, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) is saddened to report the passing of an individual in the Nipissing district who tested positive for COVID-19. This is the fifth COVID-19 related death in the Health Unit’s district since the beginning of the pandemic. Out of respect for the individual’s family and friends, no further information will be provided.

NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – À compter du lundi 5 juillet, les jeunes âgés de 12 à 17 ans seront admissibles pour une seconde dose accélérée du vaccin contre la COVID-19. Les jeunes âgés de 12 à 17 ans pourront fixer leur rendez-vous soit en ligne à Ontario.ca/Rendezvousvaccin, en appelant le service de réservation provincial au 1 833 943-3900, ou à une pharmacie locale. L’intervalle des doses accélérées pour les jeunes est de 28 jours.

NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – Starting Monday, July 5, youth aged 12 to 17 will be eligible for an accelerated second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Youth 12 to 17 years of age will we able to book an appointment either online at Ontario.ca/BookVaccine, by calling the provincial booking system at 1-833-943-3900, or at local pharmacies. The accelerated interval between doses for youth is 28 days.
