News Release - Health Unit Begins Administration of Third COVID-19 Vaccine Doses

NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – Eligible individuals in the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) region are now able to receive a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine with proof of eligibility. Eligible individuals include:

  • Organ or stem cell transplant recipients
  • Individuals receiving treatment with an anti-CD20 agent (e.g. rituximab, ocrelizumab, ofatumumab), commonly used for conditions such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, leukemias/lymphoma etc.

NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) will be holding mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics this week throughout the Health Unit district. Individuals who wish to receive a first or second dose are invited to walk in without an appointment, and should bring a health card or other identification, if possible. Clinics will offer both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
