Layer Protection Against Viruses and Stay Ho-Ho-Home if Sick

NORTH BAY, ON – Influenza A, RSV, COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses are circulating throughout the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit’s region. Between December 18 and 20, the region had 156 emergency department visits for respiratory symptoms, making it extremely important that people use layers of protection to help prevent themselves and those around them from getting ill this holiday season.

NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – COVID-19 vaccine clinics will take place in North Bay and Parry Sound over the next two weeks. The bivalent COVID-19 vaccine will be available to all individuals eligible for a booster dose, which will include five to 11-year-olds as of Wednesday, December 21. The flu shot will also be offered to a limited number of walk-ins.
