Public Service Announcement: COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Elks Lodge Extended to 4 p.m.

NORTH BAY, ON – The COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11 at Elks Lodge in North Bay has been extended, and will now run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) made the change in response to a high demand for appointments.

The two-hour extension opens the opportunity for more individuals aged six months and older to receive their vaccine this week. The Health Unit recommends booking an appointment. Walk-ins should be prepared to wait.

NORTH BAY, ON - The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) has received a very limited number of monkeypox PrEP vaccine doses. PrEP is a vaccine that is administered prior to contact with the virus. Due to low supply, appointments for the monkeypox vaccine for eligible individuals will be booked on a first come first served basis, as per the instructions below. 

When: Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022

Time: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

This PSA has been updated to reflect a recent change in schedule. The clinic in North Bay on Aug. 11 will run until 4 p.m., as opposed to 2 p.m. as originally communicated.

NIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON - COVID-19 vaccine clinics will take place in North Bay and Sundridge this week for individuals aged six months and older. Walk-ins are welcome.

Face coverings are required at all clinics. Individuals should bring a health card or another form of identification, if possible.

NIPISSING ET PARRY SOUND (ONTARIO) - Des cliniques de vaccination contre la COVID-19 auront lieu dans tout le district du Bureau de santé cette semaine. Il est maintenant possible de prendre rendez-vous pour les enfants âgés de six mois à moins de cinq ans, et des places sont disponibles pour les cliniques de cette semaine.

Le port d'un masque est obligatoire dans toutes les cliniques. Les personnes doivent apporter une carte de santé ou une autre forme d'identification, si possible.
