PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
VERNER, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) has rescinded the Do Not Drink Advisory issued on July 27, 2025, for users of the Verner Drinking Water System.
Water quality testing has confirmed that drinking water is safe to consume. The water is now safe for all normal uses, including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and bathing.
To ensure household plumbing is refreshed with clean water, the Health Unit advises residents on the water system to:
- Run both cold and hot water taps at all fixtures for at least five minutes. If the water is an unusual colour, continue to run all fixtures until the water runs clear.
- Flush appliances and devices that use water.
Temporary changes in water pressure or clarity may occur as the system returns to normal. These changes are not a health concern.
For more information, please contact the Health Unit at 1-800-563-2808 ext. 5400 or visit myhealthunit.ca/drinkingwater.
