Back to SearchNIPISSING & PARRY SOUND, ON – The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) wishes to inform the public that a limited number of pharmacies in our district will begin to offer COVID-19 vaccination to individuals 55 or older (born in 1966 or before) as early as Saturday, April 3, 2021. This comes after Ontario announced yesterday that it is expanding the list of pharmacies and primary care locations who will be offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to individuals aged 55 and over.
The following pharmacies will be offering vaccination:
- Shoppers Drug Mart (Parry Sound)
- Wal-Mart Pharmacy (North Bay)
- Northern Shores Pharmacy (North Bay)
- Loblaw Pharmacy (Sturgeon Falls)
Individuals 55 and over who wish to book an appointment at participating pharmacies can call the pharmacies directly. For more information, visit www.ontario.ca/pharmacycovidvaccine.
A reminder that the Health Unit’s Call Centre is open April 2 to April 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to book appointments for individuals born in 1951 or before. To book an appointment by phone over the weekend, call 1-800-563-2808 and choose option 4. Individuals may also book online using the provincial booking system at www.ontario.ca/BookVaccine.
