Vaccinations Required for Students

According to the Immunization of School Pupils Act, students aged 4 to 17 must be vaccinated to attend school in the province of Ontario, or risk suspension. The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit), in conjunction with school boards across the Nipissing and Parry Sound Districts, is working to ensure that this legislation is followed.

NORTH BAY, ON - The Sharps Buy Back campaign, launched by the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (“Health Unit”) in November was a success with over 17,300 used sharps (e.g. needles or syringes) returned in the month. North Bay, ON- The City of North Bay will soon see a major boost in active transportation with a new project designed to encourage students to walk and wheel to school. NORTH BAY, ON – This November, the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (“Health Unit”) is launching Sharps Buy Back Month. During this initiative, the Health Unit will provide gift cards in exchange used sharps (e.g., needles or syringes) brought to our North Bay location.
