The Health Unit continues to be open and available to answer questions. However, due to COVID-19, our regular services have been temporarily modified.  Here is a list of our current services:

COVID-19 Call Centre

  • We are responding to calls weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Call: 1-800-563-2808

Environmental Health

Available by phone to respond to any questions or concerns including:

  • Safe Food
    • Request to operate as takeout/delivery
    • COVID-19 closure order related to food premises
  • Safe Water
    • Adverse quality water incidents related to municipal water
    • Small Drinking Water System sampling requirement concerns
  • Rabies Prevention (Animal bites/scratches)
  • Tick testing
  • Smoke-Free Ontario Act

Harm Reduction

  •  Needle exchange
  • Naloxone kits

Healthy Families

Available by phone to consult, educate and provide:

  • Prenatal support
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Postpartum support
  • Parenting support

 By appointment only

  • Dental emergencies
  • Emergency referrals

Sexual Health 

By appointment only

  • STI testing for clients with symptoms
  • Emergency contraception
  • Pregnancy testing and counselling

Vaccinations

  • Telephone consults on immunizations, requests for immunization records, inquiries on vaccines, etc.
  • Vaccines by appointment for infants, aged 2 months through 18 months, and high risk individuals
