Perfluoroalkylated Substances (PFAS)
The Medical Officer of Health Report and Recommendations on Perfluoroalkylated Substances in Water is related to the detection of perfluoroalkylated substances (PFAS) in North Bay waterways. Dr. Jim Chirico, Medical Officer of Health, has been investigating this issue to determine whether a health hazard exists. He has made the following recommendations to protect the health of the public.

E. coli
The following report summarizes the investigation led by the Health Unit into an outbreak of Escherichia Coli (E. coli) O157:H7 in North Bay, Ontario in October and November 2008.
