Every day the news headlines remind us that the world can be a dangerous place. The Emergency Preparedness Program at the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is constantly working on behalf of the people of Nipissing and Parry Sound Districts to mitigate, prepare, respond and recover from any possible emergency. An emergency is a situation or an impending situation that constitutes a danger of major proportions that could result in serious harm to persons or substantial damage to property and that is caused by the forces of nature, a disease or other health risk, an accident or an act whether intentional or otherwise.

The Health Unit is prepared to respond to emergencies at any time by activating our Emergency Management Plan. For a copy of the Emergency Management Plan contact the Manager of Emergency Preparedness.
