** It is recommended that you book your travel appointment at least 6 weeks prior to departure to ensure optimal effectiveness of travel vaccinations.**

Note: There is a shortage across North America of the Yellow Fever vaccine (YF-VAX). Due to this shortage we cannot guarantee that the vaccine will be available.When you are planning your travel, please call the Health Unit well in advance to see if the vaccine is available.

EVERY WEDNESDAY (EXCEPT THE 2nd WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH)  - 10:00 AM TO 2:45 PM

EVERY OTHER MONDAY - 10:00 AM TO 2:45 PM

2nd WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH - 12:00 PM TO 5:30 PM

TB TESTING

Publically Funded TB testing is available in North Bay and Parry Sound to the following groups:

- Students entering college or university where it is a requirement for admission or continuation in a program. Students must bring appropriate documentation to the TB appointment, or the TB test may not be completed.

- Clients under the age of 65 who are entering a long-term care facility. This does not include those entering retirement homes.

- Medically necessary TB skin tests covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) for contact tracing, refugees, and homeless/ under housed clients.

- Clients who have documentation ordered by a physician who deems it medically necessary as part of an assessment of medical status or as part of the implementation of a treatment plan (for example: medication requirements or ruling out disease).

 NOTE: TB Testing is not available at the Health Unit for those requesting it for employment or for co-op placements for high school students.

 For those requesting TB testing for employment or for co-op placements, payable,community options are available. Call your health care provider, local walk-in-clinic or community health centre and ask about the cost. If you are a student, check with your school's health services department about getting a TB skin test.
